"The buggy-eyed insects, crabs, and snails provide an appealing cast of characters who stand up to be counted against a summertime palette of orange sand and blue skies." — KIRKUS REVIEWSIf one is a snail and two is a person, we must be counting by feet! Just follow the sign to the beach, where a bunch of fun-loving crabs, lounging dogs, gleeful insects, and bewildered-looking snails obligingly offer their feet for counting in a number of silly, surprising combinations - from one to one hundred!

This book is so great to use for lessons about skip counting and all of the different ways to add numbers together to make 10. I used it for a lesson and the kids love it. I'm always looking for ways to cross the curriculum and this book makes that possible!
Fun way to teach children about counting.
Fabulous book! I used it for a recent professional development session. So many activities can be applied including decomposition of numbers, simple addition equations (including doubles and repeated addition), and even multiplication.
So cute. I can't wait to read this for my math lesson next week.
I like the creative and unique side to this book. This is a book that makes you think - no matter what age you are.
My daughter is almost three and I teach middle school math. We both love this book! There are so many great math lessons in it, appropriate for kids preschool through Algebra, if done right.
I bought this book for my children after borrowing it from the library, and I've just bought another copy for my god-daughter. The illustrations are adorable, and the concept of counting in animal feet is engaging.
