The authors demonstrate that there are many reasons why social problems occur. You'll explore the history, values, economic, political and cultural factors that surround these issues, as well as the attempts to solve or address them. Book had lots of wear
Exactly what I wanted.
I bought the Kindle version to save money on this textbook just to find out half of the information boxes don't show up! Instead of whatever should be there, there's a blank space saying "text unavailable due to copyright restrictions." I'll be contacting Amazon tomorrow and hopefully I'll be able to change my opinion on this, but I paid for this book and didn't get all of the information inside!
Thank you so much for my Social Work and Social Welfare book. I am so please with my order.
The book came in a very nice condition and it came within a very reasonable time. Thanks!
I wanted to know if the world of Social Work is aware of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2009 and if the broad and important work of social workers could encompass the power of this law as helpful to their clients. While the book specifically did not deal with the ADAAA, the attitudes and intentions of this book are certainly compatible with the needs of persons with (mostly invisible) disabilities. These are the people who fall through the cracks in our justice system, which is where persons with disabilities often wind up if not helped in a substantial way by our systems of care. Good job.
